Could be a great apartment - If only everything worked and Customer Service existed.
Positive: This apartment has a lot going for it.
It has Parking, is on a good Bus route, near to shops , of a good size in a quiet location……. but is sadly let down by a very poor customer service and attention to detail.
Negative: If only this apartment had Heating, Hot water, clean crockery, crockery with chips, lights that didn’t flash, Bedside tables that didn’t wobble, a plug in the sink so you could wash up and a mountain of someones post in one cupboard.
If only the Apartment Manager didn’t hide behind numerous WhatsApp messages and instead came to the apartment to see what was wrong immediately - issues could be resolved a lot faster. The Apartment Manager even expected us to stay at the apartment and let in their “trusted” maintenance team, who clearly weren’t trained, on underfloor heating and Electric Boilers especially. They sent a Plumber who did water pipes and didn’t do heating, a Heating Engineer who didn’t do Electric Boilers, who told them the controllers weren’t working either, a general Maintenance man to fix other broken items that we hadn't found as being broken - a comical farcical fiasco.
Maybe I should have smelt an issue when the instructions tell you how to reset the boiler, I won’t mention the big brother side of having cameras to check what you put in the bin!
Finally when I spoke to the Owner, he accepted the situation wasn’t acceptable, did offer to move us to a Hotel, but with a fridge full of food not a great idea. He did agree compensation, which although he has approved, took numerous chase messages over many days from myself and Booking.com to get agreed.
We are realists and things do go wrong. We were told by the Apartment Manager , she was making lots of calls but very little happened and what did happen took days and when it did , the wrong people arrived !
We were shown very little signs of compassion by the Apartment Manager and the situation we we trying to live within, especially as we were staying while my partner had Radiotherapy at the local Hospital !

Positive: Location is brilliant, on the main bus route but quiet, really convenient for getting to Oxford Brookes. Having parking and the ability to charge an electric car was great. The flat was clean, comfortable with good bathroom and kitchen.
